In the article by Jeremy Lent, he asks whether the pandemic could “lead to a meltdown of neoliberal norms that ultimately reshapes the dominant structures of our global civilization?” If, as some argue, the pandemic has the potential to bring back a stronger sense of community and collective responsibility to one another. Would this be good for work, from the perspective of workers? If yes, why do you think so? If no, why not?

6. In the second half of the fall term we examined the rise of precarious work, some of the explanations for why precarity is rising, and some of the responses to precarious work. Several articles we read considered different strategies aimed at challenging the rise of precarious work. Choose two articles that explore responses to precarious work.
