research paper via an oral presentation.

Create a Power Point Presentation
When you are due to present, you will ‘share’ your power point presentation on the
screen, and describe what you have learnt. You will have 10 minutes to do this for
the presentation. (worth 40 points)
Reviewing a Classmate’s Presentation
You will also sign up to review a classmate’s presentation. You will write the
review, and email it to me. There is a guideline and template for this in a separate
document in this folder/module. (worth 15 points)
Tips for Effective Presentations
Begin with a Bang!
This is the moment to attract the audience’s attention.
Use an image, short story, or other means to spark the audience’s notice.
Information light slides:
Don’t include a lot of text on your slides. Use
them for headings or to display information that is difficult to describe, such
as graphs or images. They simply give a visual to your narration.
Talk, don’t read:
Try not to just read to the audience, but talk to them.
Use notes to guide you.
10 minutes only:
Aim to keep your presentation to 10 minutes. If you go
longer, you take time from someone else. Practice the presentation to ensure
that it will not take too long.
