Module 12: Critical Thinking
Consider a recent project that you have worked on. This could be for a company or organization with which you are familiar, or even a personal project such as purchasing a home or planning a party. Use the videos shared in the Announcements to assist you with the following process.
Include an opening paragraph, to identify your selected project in no more than two paragraphs. Then, create a Gantt Chart for planning and scheduling the project by taking the following steps as detailed in the videos.
Identity the Activities, Predecessors, & Duration of each activity.
Develop the network diagram, create the basic sketch and the grid for each activity as seen in the video.
Complete a Forward Pass and a Backward pass and identify the Critical Path.
Identify the slack time for each activity. Discuss the ramifications of slack in the Critical Path for the activities and the project as a whole.
Determine and document both probabilistic (t0, tp, and tm) and deterministic time estimates. Discuss how you arrived at these time estimates.
Discuss which path you would take and why.
Crash an activity on the Critical Path. Discuss the ramifications of crashing the activity you crashed.
